THE GOD OF GLORY

I have felt in my spirit for some time now, it is time for a move of God’s glory.  When I say a move, some may wonder what I am talking about.  A move in Christian terms is a time when God is seen by miracles, signs and wonders in the church. It could be a time of healing as we had during the 1930’s into the 1950’s. Great tent revivals were held all around the country. Later, a move of God in the “charismatic revival”, (1960’s and 1970’s) took place all over the country. People were being filled with the Holy Spirit. Beth and I personally held meetings in homes, libraries, actually in a meat locker one time. We held meetings in store front businesses after business hours. God was moving and people were hungry for God. One of the great moves recently has been the renewed love of the Word of God. The teaching of the Word of Faith has gone around the world and testimonies abound of the glory of God manifested in the lives of believers. We shouldn’t try to replicate these again, because the hunger for God will produce the next great move of His glory.

Isaiah 60:1-2 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. NKJV

The book of Ephesians excites us about His “glory.” One of our purposes as the church is to manifest the glory of the Lord.
Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. NAS

I want to emphasize the phrase, “to the praise of the glory of His grace.” The Lord gave me this understanding when I was in prayer.  He said that every time we believe the Word of God, we give praise to Him for the glory He is manifesting in our lives. We are saying to those around us that He is real and we believe in Him. If you are saved, healed or ever had an answered prayer it is to the praise of His glory. Grace brought us the privilege of God’s Presence in and around our lives to be seen.

Remember grace is unmerited favor, you cannot earn it. Brother Kenneth Hagin said that he learned to take God’s Word for what it said, believe it and act upon it.
Faith is trusting God for the impossible. The glory is the answer that one receives through faith. God proves Himself and shows His glory to all who believe. PTL!

The Glory is the Manifest Presence of our heavenly Father. He loves us with the exact love with which He loved Jesus Christ. So we didn’t get second best!  Jesus’ prayer in
John 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them. NKJV

In the book of Ephesians Paul lists some wonderful gifts that are ours because of His glory:

1. We are accepted in the beloved. Salvation is a gift of love.to the praise of His glory.

2. You heard the word of truth and were sealed with the Holy Spirit.

3. You were given an inheritance and the right to possess it.

4. You have the guarantee that God will do everything He has promised us.

5. He chose you before the foundation of the earth.

6. You can pray for the spirit of wisdom and understanding.

7. We have the mighty power of the Holy Spirit working on our behalf.

There is so much given to us so we can be “to the praise of His glory.” One of the great revelations I have received is the full effect of grace and favor in our lives here and now. The Lord said to me; “Favor is a supernatural work of glory continually every day.” We have received so many testimonies from believers giving God the glory of how His favor delivered them.

Let me challenge you to confess the favor of the Lord continually all week. Give Him the glory and you will see victory in challenging areas.
Prayer:

Father, thank you for the victory in my life and I thank you for surrounding me with favor, therefore, I will confess favor daily giving the praise to you. In Jesus name, amen
